Bright Without Blinding
Translation by Tree Buffalo
When the government is very dull, the people are very simple.
When the government is very intrusive, the people are very deficient.
How miserable!
Happiness leans on happiness.
But misery leans on concealment.
Who knows the limits of these without correction?
Because any correction eventually becomes abnormal.
And any goodness eventually becomes evil.
If the people are confused about this everyday it will last a long time.
This is why wise people are sharp without cutting, pointy without piercing, straight without straining, and bright without blinding.
