You cannot stand firm on tiptoes.
You cannot walk straight with swagger.
You cannot shine when showing yourself off.
You cannot stand out while being outstanding.
Self-praise has no merit.
Self-conceit cannot last long.
Those following the way of Nature treat excessive action like leftover food.
They don’t want any.
Therefore, to follow the way of Nature, do not dwell.
