The Great Mystery
translation by Tree Buffalo
The Universe cannot be fully described, because the names of things are not the things themselves.
Only the nameless can start to describe the Universe and its beginnings.
Everything else can be named.
Observe the mystery of the Universe by removing its names.
Observe only its outer form by giving it names.
The nameless and the named come from the same place, yet they are different.
Together they are the Great Mystery, the Mystery of Mysteries.
All essence is born from this gate.
