Sacred Vessel
Translation by Tree Buffalo
It takes desire to conquer the world and turn it into something.
I believe those who try will not succeed in the end.
The world is a sacred vessel that cannot be controlled!
Controlling it ruins it.
Grasping for it loses it.
It works like this:
things sometimes lead and other times follow;
sometimes breathe out and other times breathe in;
sometimes get stronger and other times get weaker;
sometimes overcome and other times give in.
This is why the wise person abandons extremes, abandons extravagance, and abandons excess.
